Hello from Dallgow/Germany
« on: February 28, 2016, 02:17:45 AM »
First excuse my english, but since school (40 years ago) I had only rare opportunity to speak or write english. But I hope, you understand me. 8)
My name is Jürgen and I am now 61 years old. I live in Dallgow-Döberitz, a small community near Berlin in Germany. Here also Manfred von Richthofen was trained at the "Flugbattalion Nr.1".
I run from my youth model building, and my first airplane was a DR1 from Revell, that I still have. In the meantime I have also built sailboats, warships and tanks, but two years ago I returned back to the aircraft. Mainly Props. from the Second World War. But now and then I am also building aircrafts from the First World War.

Best Regards
Jürgen (or english = John)

Thanks for the warm welcome. ;D
As I have already written, I build mainly aircraft of World War II. These are mostly built as a diorama. I will show you in this post some photos of my work. I hope this is OK for you, although it has nothing to do with the First World War.

First a Picture from my B-17G "Chow Hound". It's in 1/48 scale, with light and starting engines. (Many parts are scratched)

The right Engine in 1/12 (a Wright Cyclone  Radial Aircraft Engine from the year 1959 by Monogram)

A P-38J -Ligtning

The Doolitlle Raid

And finally a mounting bunker for the Me 262 as it looks in April 1945. The original stands in Thuringia. I built this model for a museum in Thuringia. It's in 1/72 scale, nearly 2 meters (6 ft) long!

I hope you like it a little, even if it is not the first world war.

best regards
Jürgen
