 Steve,
That's one heck of a beautiful diorama base my old friend. I'm very much looking forward to seeing more of this project.

Highest Regards,

Downtown Deco makes great line of kits. I'm familiar with them from my model railroading days and have a few of their building kits in my stash. Good to see they are branching out into new areas!

Still, it's not quite as exciting as Rachel... ;)

Rachel's too soon gone, only evil seems to live forever... or may be you keep her locked for good... ::)
soooo... I submit my entry for the annual Peagent Contest... a more sober and more contestualized one!
Ledies and gentelman, here is Fraulein Feldgrau!!

anyway, the base seems very well done...
I can't wait to see what you'll get out of it... a street in Ypres, maybe...

Ahhhhh, Edo I see you have your very own P.A.  :)

Frauline Feldgrau is lovely

You're right the diorama bases are excellent.  I see great potential with this product.  I'm going to raise them a little with some plain picture frames, this will elevate them just a little bit for the competition table.  Much of the rubble I'll likely not use, I don't really do dioramas, I just like the way some of the Armour Modellers put their tanks into context with a small base.

Ypres, what a mess.

I think my little cobbled roads will be, hmmmmmmmm...

Saint Petersburg!

Steven, I guess I"m the slow cousin, but I couldn't find those bases on their website.
Can you point me to them?
Thanks.

Try a Google search: buy diorama bases cobblestones, they sell on Ebay and that's how I originally found them.  Let me know how you go.

Cheers

Dear Slow Cousin from Oklahoma City

Hey Mack, sounds like you found them, excellent.  I also know quality modelling product when I find it.  I plan to make-up my five bases and use them to display Ivan's little armoured cars at my local comps.  Taking and sharing photos of my finished my models is important; these bases provide the perfect frame for the models.

I don't do competitions anymore, I'm a Prima Donna and take a (some say perverse) pleasure in just putting my models on the table.  I see the annual event in South Australia as an opportunity to catch-up with the folk, bling doesn't interest me anymore.

Bet I'm not the only one that hold this point of view.

Cheers
