As I said earlier, nothing about this Build is happening fast, far too many real life interruptions of late!

The post shading is finally complete and, depending on the light conditions, looks fairly successful. I used the standard old Tamiya Tape cut to width for masking and two mediums for the shading, my old standard Soft (Chalk) Pastels and also Tamiya's Weathering Master oil based pastels. The former was applied after being ground to powder and mixed to the desired colour on a piece of sand paper and then applied with a soft brush, blended on, and touched up with Q Tips. I applied the Tamiya product with the foam applicator supplied in the Kit and used it only on the leading edges.

My apologies for the poor photo......

And here's the results, as mentioned the degree of shading changes as do the light conditions and angle of view:

This last shot best illustrates the wear and fading I've attempted on the leading edges, in this case on the horizontal stabilizer to the left.

Next step is to detail the wing walk aluminum treads with some foil and then start installing several thousand (well, seems like it!!) eyelets for the rigging. Onwards and upwards as the old saying goes!
Cheers,
Lance
