Time for the good part, Lance.  That should keep you occupied for a while. ;)
She certainly is a big model but WOW, impressive! Stunning job, my friend.

Cheers,
Ernie :)

Looks fantastic Lance. The rigging looks daunting though. Cant wait to see more.

Thanks Ernie & James. The rigging is progressing, albeit slowly but no major setbacks. Haven't "popped" an eyelet yet but did have to install one I'd missed, great fun working between wings!
Cheers,
Lance

Bon Courage, Lance. That jungle of rigging wires looks very discouraging...

Stefan,
It can limit progress to a slow rate! :o

Thank you SsashoO, and here's some update info.
The biggest task in rigging this beast is the wing rigging, the final bracing and flight control rigging will be done at the end of the Build.
I used three different products on this phase; the strut pair cross bracing is EZ Line, the cabane ares were done with Modelkasten, and the main wires with Maxima Chameleon 0.12mm monofil. Bob's Buckles were used for the hardware throughout. Here's an overall shot of the results:

The cabane areas were done first, not much working space and took a lot of time:

The cabane strut blemish in this shot has since been removed and refinished, Machro mode led to it's discovery.

The line running from the rear of the engine deck to the forward cabane in this shot had to be replaced as it had gone slack and I managed to touch it with a hot X-Acto blade while trying to re-tension it. This was an absolute nightmare which took half a day to repair! Several areas around the struts need a bit of matt varnish on the touchups done.

I also discovered that I'd missed installing two eyelets earlier, working between wings is not a recommended leisure activity.......  All's well that ends well they say.

The wires were all painted with Mr. Metal Colour "Stainless" and touchup of the inevitable over spray/splat completed.
Now it's on to the landing gear and bomb racks, a nice break before the next stage of assembly and rigging. Don't be shy, if I've missed something while "down in the weeds" let me know!
Cheers,
Lance

Thanks Justin, hopefully the journey is more down hill from here on...... Chris, give it a go, just think of it as several single seaters in very close formation, sort of a double or triple Build! ;)
Cheers,
Lance

Beautiful job with the rigging Lance, the combination of three materials makes life easier when tackling a complex rigging plan. To re-tension any mono lines that become slack I use the tip of a small soldering iron, I seem to get better control and more accurate placement of the heat.

Des & Bud,
Thanks for commenting, much appreciated as always. Des, I definitely am going to try some (smaller) heat sources in future, not my first accident nor will it be the last if I don't find a better way! ::)
Cheers,
Lance
