Excellent start, Lance!  Beautiful work on the cockpit.  I'm really looking forward to following this one.
Cheers,
Bud

Des and Bud,
Your comments are greatly appreciated, it's taken longer to get to this very early stage then I had anticipated, but so far I'm happy with the results.
Cheers,
Lance

Beautiful detailing Lance! Your small additions make a huge difference! As always your wood tones are excellent. Outstanding pit!

Great work -I'd love to try my hand at one of those, but I'm afraid it's above my current skillset at the moment. I'm watching this closely! :)

Rick and Terri,
Thanks for looking and for your kind comments.
Jeroen,
Thank you as well. My earlier comment on this being no project for a new modeller is a little harsh, it's a beautiful Kit and other then the delicate lattice work and a lot of extra rigging not much different then any Wingnut Wings Kit. I'd bet you'd not only produce a beautiful result, you'd enjoy it as well not to mention it's a confidence builder for any skill level. As the old proverb goes, "it took a very brave man to eat the first oyster"! ;)
Cheers,
Lance

Only just caught up with this one Lance. This is one of the best FE 2 builds that I have seen - and I have seen some very good ones indeed. As Des has written your attention to detail is impeccable - better than mine!!!

Stephen.

Stephen,
Coming from a Modeller of your talent I truly do appreciate your comment! The detail on the Beardmore engine that I've been studying (or perhaps more puzzling!?) all morning boggles my mind, I'm not sure at this stage how to start nor how far a person should go.......... The fun is in the trying for me.
Cheers,
Lance

Brilliant work, Lance!  I really like your wood effects and while I have never
been much of a fan of EZ line, you have done a super job with it.  Then
again you could probably use discarded puppy hair...or maybe not. ;) ;D
Excellent build log, my old friend.  It is a joy to follow, as usual.

Cheers,
Ernie :)

Lance,

this is going to be the real masterclass for the Fee :) Very good work on the "interior" so far. Decide now if you want to get rid of the nasty cleavage left from the part behind the pilot's seat. I left it for the end and it was very hard to do anything about it :(

Best regards,
Sasho

Just caught up with your progress Lance - lovely work all round so far  :) As others have remarked that's a great start and some real nice painting, especially the wood work. I was thinking of doing the night finish too (but not your chosen version) so will be continuing to watch more frequently.

Regards - Tug

Spectacular looking cockpit Lance, and I mean spectacular! The variations in the wood grain effect really set it off nicely, the instruments look perfect, and the rad has a realistic looking weathered look about it. That 1/48 scale EZ line looks perfectly scaled to my eyes, and perfect for the job. This is already one to be proud of my friend and well worth all of the time and effort you're investing in it.

Cheers,

Chris

Thanks Chris! As I indicated in my PM this is one heck of a slow build, the Fee was not a simple structure for certain.
Cheers,
Lance
