Thank you for your overwhelmingly kind comments. Yet, I wish to stress, that every possible praise should go to Lukasz. I only played a role of an assembler.

I have mixed feelings about it not fitting into the cowl. On one hand, it would be nice to be able to have a complete airplane with the cowl in place, but on the other hand, it would be a shame to hide that beautiful engine.. ???
George

My thoughts, exactly, George. A hard choice had to be made here. Snipe has such a charming nose (beak ;)), but my model will not show it.  :(

If the cowling has to be thinned that much would you consider using it as  a master and plunge a new one from heated plastic sheet?

That would be an option, but heat-forming is well beyond my skills and possibilities.

Given the engine is more or less 90% hidden by the cowling have you considered the Kit engine installed with the Taurus Bentley displayed beside the model?
Cheers,
Lance

I am not for dioramas, even at the slightest, Lance. What I do at the most is some basic base, and this only for floatplanes which must have a landing gear not to  look weird. But thanks for your suggestion.  ;)
And after all, there would be enough of WNW Bentley visible to notice that it is clunky when compared to Taurus one.
When buying Lukasz's engine I was sure I wanted to install it in this model. The fact, that the cowling is too large, made my decision easier to expose it completely. Otherwise, I would be torn in two, between the great engine and nice Snipe beak.
So, the model will have no cowling and no propeller, they may just be somewhere at the side, propped against the undercarriage, or so. Will think of it, yet.

This is really making me think about what I should do with my Snipe. I actually bought the Taurus Bentley first, and bought the Snipe as a place to display it! ;D

I'll be watching closely to see what you come up with.

After a few busy modelling sessions I finally managed to complete the cockpit. Everything fits very well, WNW have done again a great job. But do not be deceived with its apparent simplicity. The interior is very crowded, access to the inside becomes more and more complicated with every bit added. And I have made it myself even more difficult postponing the internal bracing for after the assembly. This was a severe mistake and the part of WW1 aircraft modelling which I find my favourite became almost nightmarish. I had again to use the watchmaker's magnfying glass to pass the lines through the prepared eyelets and manouvering the tweezers was very tricky. Finally I managed to complete it but those mere 18 cables were probably most difficult ones I have ever had and will long be remembered. So my advice is to do this bracing BEFORE the assembly.
From my side I have only replaced the pulsator moulded into the instrument panel with Lukasz product (amazingly fantastic!!!) and a piece of tin wire bent to shape and painted copper, also the gun trigger cables going along the stick, plus all the control lines from the stick and the rudder-bar - these will go unbroken all the way through the fuselage interior to the control surfaces - not functional though.

Also the fuselage interior in visible parts got the colours and some bracing. It is now basically ready to accept the cockpit and close it forever.

Exceptional work on the cockpit Przemol, it is a very crowded little space but you have managed to make it look realistic, the colours you used are excellent.

Truly magnificent interior, my old friend.  I can't see how you could possibly have rigged the frame work while fully assembled, but you did.  A testament to your amazing skills.
Cheers,
Bud

Hello again!!!

Fantastic work on interior!!! I can now see even clearer the difference between "old" and "new" WNW after you pouted it out... Might put my Snipe higher on my "what's next" list  ;)

Just a fantastic job on the cockpit, Prze, a real tribute to your skills as always! The rigging comes off beautifully, well worth your considerable efforts IMHO.
