fokker DVI wing question
« on: July 27, 2012, 07:17:36 AM »
Finally got the wings halves carved out! While test fitting I noticed one tip seems lower than the other. Is there a solution to the problem? I was thinking some wedges. I would post pictures but my phone is not smart :'(

    Steve,
Sounds like you have a little over sanding on the wing tip my friend. I would suggest using a shim to between the halves to correct the problem. Cut the shim or shims oversized to allow you to reshape the leading edge contour. Don't be afraid to use a little putty as well. I hope this helps you out,if not let me know.

Shims! Of course. I will try that Saturday. Olmpics in a few minutes here in Minnesota. Thank you Gregory! ;)
