3D-printed 1/32 carbonits 20kg
« on: November 10, 2015, 09:50:52 PM »

Here are a set of assembled 3d-printed carbonits in 1/32 scale for interest.

Included are 2 completed items as well as 4 without the tailfin tubes attached ,so  the small brass propeller and mounting baffle can be seen more clearly.

Compare with a similar full scale item in Le Mussee de L'air at Le Bourget.

My grateful thanks to Bo Monroe for realising the 3-d parts and to Ray Rimell for providing the archive dimensions.

Those are very cool, Dave!  Did you use Shapeways?

I have some of those! They look great painted up, Dave. I'll have to paint mine. Thanks for the reference photo.

Thanks Dave for spearheading this project. These 20Kg bombs are in beta pending me finding time to write up instructions:

4 up http://shpws.me/Hk1p
6 up http://shpws.me/HkMo

The kits come with 4 or 6 bomb bodies, along with tools for forming the cylindrical fin out of sheet metal and another for forming the strap from wire or strips of sheetmetal.
