Great build,Dan!Don't mind about the struts, those Kit struts never fit!Built that one a few years ago and I do well remember the issues attaching the top wing ,took more than 48 hours for sure!

A valiant effort Dan! Although you didn't make the 48 hrs I am sure you will finish this beautiful model soon!

A very fine effort Dan, the clock may have stopped but the model continues, you have done an excellent job with the build.

A truly valiant effort, Dan, and although you didn't meet your own deadline, I'm betting you'll still complete an extraordinary model in record time.  I wouldn't have been able to finish it in under a month.
Cheers,
Bud

Back in the Saddle in Seattle... 8)

I do want to finish this guy and it's going well now. I made a simple jig (should have done so in the first place) based on some scale drawings.  It's poster foam and hot glue.

Now I'm making struts from crushed 1/16th aluminum tubing with brass in the tips.

So far, so good!

I hope to finish this guy over the rainy weekend.

Cheers and thanks for the encouragement during my unsuccessful attempt,

Dan

Great looking jig, Dan!  That should help out considerably.
Cheers,
Bud
