  "PS What's the "Big Smoke"?"

Michael,
A flying buddy way back when (RAF Exchange Pilot) used to use the term to mean London, I thought it was a common term. On the other hand he described most common things in a "code" consisting, I presumed, of good Brit slang or, just as likely, his own terms drawn from his personal lexicon. There were some conversations that might just as well have been in Mandarin, as I had no idea what was transpiring!
I like your idea and proposed itinerary, keep working on Lukas! In fairness we'd have to go to OZ first to pick up Lukas though......... :P
Cheers,
Lance

I'm hoping to go  :D

I'm planning on taking Felix if I can get her there in one piece..

It would be good to see the Felixstowe, Guy. Would you need to hire a specialist removal firm to get it there?

Best wishes

I shall be there. Probably on Saturday.

I'll be trawling the second hand stalls for 72nd scale stuff and I may see if I can pick up a WNW Bristol Fighter.

Hi Squiffy

I see they've moved the location of the second hand area - maybe it's a bigger area. Each time I've looked in on it in previous years it's been very crowded. I might show a bit more patience this time. Good luck with the searching.

Best wishes

Well, Lance,

Let's start planning. We can get Lukas' bride to finance the trip. Telford, TVAL, and a stop off at Des and Adrienne's on the homeward leg.

I'm game!

PS What's the "Big Smoke"? Sounds like college in the 70s to me.....

Reminds me of the Big Bamboo, Cheech and Chong!

Bravo to IPMS. I read that they've decided to pay for free WiFi access for all in the venue.

How about photos of the merchant stands as well, as if we could have been there with you?

I'll see what I can do, James, with a range of stands - certainly including all our favourites.

There will be considerably in excess of 150 traders displaying their wares and they are listed on the Scalemodel World 2015 website. Let me know if there are any particular ones you are interested in and I'll try my best.

Best wishes

My departure for Telford has been delayed by an irrepairable puncture on the Jag.  >:(

A new tyre is on its way to the fitters so I'll definitely be there tomorrow, if not later today.  :)

Quick update from Telford  ;D

Lovely teaser on the Aviattic stand:

The new Airfix release:

Good turn out as usual - over 1000 entries:

Lovely little scratch built Lohner:

I was just thinking I've got as good as a chance as anyone else, when this Aviattic prototype framework turns up..  :P

It's a cracker..
