Just found this build. Never heard of the manufacturer before now. Outstanding work on the cockpit and especially the engine. The wood is very realistic and is it too late to say nice rack;)

This Build has eluded me until now as well, Bud. So glad I found it, what a beauty! I actually scrolled back a bit thinking I'd somehow dropped into Prze's Blog, neat "Mini" with the only difference being scale. I like this one a lot, great wood, excellent job on the interior finish and detail, super job on the engine and I could go on forever. Really nicely done!
Cheers,
Lance

Nice job Bud on the decals.

It a strange thing about decals as you never are really sure how then will react until you actually go to use them. I always seem to get a little anchoius when decal time comes along. Great save! If you would not have told us the problems you encountered, I would have thought they went on without a hitch.  :)

Thank you all so much for the heartwarming comments, my friends!  Always greatly appreciated.
Continued having problems with the fragile kit decals.

This, of course, was all a result of not listening to the little voice in my head telling me that, after all the problems I had with the decals, I should paint the national markings on the wings.  My wife, being a mental health professional, always tells me that I should ignore the voices in my head, so I did and went ahead with the decals.  Now I know better.  I think.
Anyway, with a lot of touch up and additional precautions, I continued with the post shading and got the whole mess to a point where I can live with it.  Won't bring home any trophies with her, but this is really just for me.

Also, got the tail rigged, the Spandau installed and the observer's gun ring in place.  Progress.  At last.

Now, to see about getting those wings installed.  By the way, I used the Aviattic light German linen decals over a Modern Desert Sand base, preshaded.  Gave 'em a little different flavor.
Cheers,
Bud

She is looking really good Bud, the colours you have chosen are excellent and the decals look great, you overcome the little mishap perfectly.
