Thank you so much, my friends! I really do appreciate your kind comments.
PS: Those SilverWings kits are fantastic aren't they. Cheryl ordered their two Italian Beauties ( CR.32 and CR.42 ) for my birthday and Christmas. Been driving me nuts since the arrived last Friday too. She's put them up until the proper time arrives. Until then I'm not allowed to ever drool over the box art. Sheez that's just not Cricket.
Carol did the same thing to me with the RE8 she bought for me for Christmas. It is a bit frustrating, but I've only got 24 days to wait. In the meantime, that glorious Albatros B.II should be here in less than a week.
Thanks for your kind words, gentlemen! At least no one stooped to, "nice rack". Micheal would've.
I resemble that remark. The rack looks primo and the bombs are well hung.
Sorry I haven't kept abreast of this build, Bud, as it is certainly titillating.
Love ya, Big Mike. I wouldn't have expected anything less.
Where to you find the time of all these projects Bud ? Wonderful work as always
Terri
Well, T, being sorta retired helps, plus my time isn't gobbled up on Messerschmidts and Mustangs.
Getting a little closer to closing up the fuselage. I have the engine ready to install and all that's left is a little detail on the port side of the fuselage interior.

The Karaya engine is beautifully cast, but the instructions are woefully vague.

Those odd little shapes are supposed to represent these, the rocker arms.

Luckily, I found this photo to assist with the orientation.

I also had to add the ignition lead channel, ignition wires, push rods and a breather (oil transfer?) tube.

The fit of the engine is so tight, I won't have to glue it in place. Just the pressure of the fuselage halves will hold it when I epoxy them together tomorrow.

I'm so looking forward to painting the fuselage and moving on to the wings.
Cheers,
Bud
