Well Amigo, you are certainly doing a Stellar job on the interior....as usual! The panel and ammo cans are awesome !

Thanks, Amigo!  One of the advantages of having the WNW site to refer to is that there are excellent drawings and photos of the cockpit details.  One of the drawbacks is that one feels compelled to add the details.

Now that the pilot's cockpit is completed and in place, work progresses on the observer's office.  Karaya provide this as the bomb rack:


So I replaced it with this:






I've also begun work on the engine.  Since the top of the engine is all that will be seen, the bottom will reamain rather basic.

Your bomb rack is a wee bit better than that rectangle cube supplied with the kit. What an improvement!

Great modelling, Bud. The bomb rack looks fantastic, but I would be careful with filling it with ordnance. The aircraft in 1 EW were used exclusively for recconaissance work, no bombing was reported.

Thanks for your kind words, gentlemen!  At least no one stooped to, "nice rack".  Micheal would've.
Got the cockpit in place and the control lines run.  Everything is a very tight fit.

Too late, Przemo.  :-[ Already have it glued in place.  Oh, well.  So much for historical accuracy.


The kit provided observer's seat is way too large.  Looks like it was special ordered for Kim Kardashian.  I made a new one that is more in keeping with the average WWI aviators butt.  Also, it will fit with the bomb rack in place, whereas the other one wouldn't.

Hi Bud! This is stellar work so far! It looks very real and shows lovely tones and colours, and yeah, I do love the "Rack"!  I'm pleased it's full of bombs so we don't get confused! I'm looking forward to more, it really is taking shape...
