I'm not sure if that is red plastic. In my opinion, it looks like a CG 3D render. It looks a bit too clean, and the small green, yellow and blue bits are a bit too bright. It is an unusual choice of color though, and it's hard to actually see the details, especially in the shot with the cockpit exposed. The final plastic version will probably be something more normal.

yes ,obviously 3d artwork of their plans for the layout. to me it looks every bit as detailed as the wnw kit. maybe even better? we shall see

From my experience the CG images are usually better looking than the actual kit molding. I like the idea of Eduard continuing to produce 1/48 scale kits, however I not a big fan of the SE5Aa.

I tend to concentrate on aircraft with crosses on their wings.  ;)

I have several 1/48 scale SE5a kits, a couple Rodens, a Blue Max and a Copper State SE5, but I'm really looking forward to this one.  With the inclusion of an engine, this will surely be better than even the Roden kits, which are really nice.
Cheers,

last year I started a roden hisso with the plan too do full engine.I bought the Karaya engine which is too big Plus the cylinders are at a different angle so that didn't work so my next plan was to take rodents cylinder heads and graft them onto the Blue Max hisso block I did and I casted it.I still wasn't happy even though I tried several ways to make it work.I do have a wingnut wings se5a and a few others in various scales.this one looks the bestvery close to the wing nut wingsexcept in the correct scale.I definitely prefer crosses on my airplanes but the se5a was an important aircraft of this. I would like to have a nice 1 in 1/48
