Nie.11 Bebe
« on: September 30, 2015, 01:45:40 PM »
Hello Everyone, here are a  few shots of Barbara's favorite. It's a Hobbycraft 1/32 Nie.17, that I butchered into a Bebe. A lot of surgery on the wings and fuselage, of course. Scratch built the cockpit, Lewis gun and most of the engine. Used some home cast resin parts and Tom's photo-etch wire wheel inserts with my own cast resin wheels. The cheek panels are aluminum and the cowling is an artfully cut fuel gauge float from my 1:1 tool box. Thanks for looking.
Pietro

Incredible, Pietro! You never let us down with the quality of your work. The Nieuport 11s and 17s are some of my favorite planes and yours is excellent!

I'm with Barbara on this one, Pietro!  This one is my favorite, as well.  Absolutely stunning!

Fantastic looking N.11 bebe - especially when you consider this a conversion from another (similar) kit.

For a conversion that is absolutely first class. A stunning model in a most attractive colour scheme. Many congratulations.

Very nice.  I, too, would love to see some in process photos if you have any.

 Pietro,
Absolutely beautiful little kite my old friend.I hope you'll do more Italian Gems like this example in the future. Never seem to see enough Italian WWI aircraft.
