Army type Otsu 1/Samson 2A2 - 1/48 Gaspatch models
« on: September 19, 2015, 03:37:55 AM »
The final photosession, together with my first attempt at building a base. I used only materials found in my garden, white glue, vaneer and water. If you want to check the building process, here is the build log
Any comments, questions, tips or constructive criticism are most welcome!

Best regards,
Sasho

Great Salmson, Ssasho. I am very happy to see one of those fantastic Gaspatch kits completed. Very nice silver finish, shading, well done rigging. I would ask for one more photo - a close-up of the observer cockpit. The pilot's one would be nice to view, too, but I know it is not possible because of the top wing. BTW, I wonder how that poor pilot slipped into his office.
Well, you asked for criticism, so, there is one thing I do not like - the struts seem to have unsmooth finish - were they brush-painted?

Another ditto from the 3rd Amigo! Your build was great to follow along with! As I think I said elsewhere, I hope I do half as well on my 1/32nd USAS Salmson!

The Salmson turned out brilliant, the overall finish on this model is superb, and to top it off you have it sitting on a great display base, well done.

That's lovely - really well displayed on your diorama base as well.

A wonderful representation of the type and in unusual markings. The diorama is particularly impressive, especially the platform. I wish that I had your ingenuity to use materials from the garden to make up such a realistic diorama.
