Cameo Guynemer & Rickenbacker Figures

Here are the Cameo Figures from the 70's of Capt. Geroges Guynemer and Capt. Edward Rickenbacker. Both were sculpted rather good for the time but I think the Guynemer figure should have been a little more frail in stature. I tried to paint him with a rather "pale" complexion and Rickenbacker with a "ruddy" one. Just a simple base. Taken with an iPhone.

Very nice work on those old figures! Your detail painting of the medals is outstanding!

Is it me or are the heads out of scale? they are huge!

Hello gentlemen and ladies,
You're right Ron, they are too big-headed. But, beautiful painted.
For Guynemer, you can purchase this one:
About 15 $. I got it, it's a good one.
Best regards.
Alain.

Yes, Ron. I just wondered whether the exaggerated head size was a form of caricature?
Best wishes

I don't believe that when they were originally made they were meant to be caricatures. When you see them in person being 54mm it not too obvious that their heads are too large. I painted them up on a whim over the course of a week or two because I have them in my stash. These are my favorite Guynemer figures. Notice that they are based on the same pose. The painted figure is Metal Models 54mm and the Resin is 120mm from Model Cellar
