I love your clean and subtle shaded built! What do you use for rigging?

Hello Rick,

Well your rigging is as good as it can possibly be. You did a great job my friend. And I can't stop looking at your camo-painting. A joy for the eye! The fitting of the cockpit coaming and louvers is remarkable. You really should be proud of this lovely duo-build!

Kind regards
Patrick

Thanks Bud! It was a difficult job. I used three different superglues( before I found one that worked well), and had to go back and tighten several wires with an incense stick after they partially popped out of the hole.

Thanks Borsos. I use plain old 2 lb. test trout fishing Monofilament. It was then painted with Testors Metalizer Steel.

A lot of "finesse" apparent in the rigging job, Rick! The number of double or parallel runs must have really tried your patience, particularly in the cabane areas. As for the finish, just a short "WOW" is all I can add. Beautiful work, doubly so with the quality of her "running mate", that beautiful Pfalz! :o :)

Thanks Lance for the somewhat overgenerous compliment  :-[ something I didn't mention is that I went with the "Later" rigging option of only having double non filled and wrapped flying wires. Conversation with Rowan reference to this bird seemed to indicate that was the way to go.

Rick,
I'd go for the "non filled' doubles myself after the marathon task I had with the Ni 28 wrapped doubles. Doable but certainly a test of resolve!

I have re attached the tail surfaces and done some more rigging. I also attached the lower wing ailerons and completed applying the markings from the Pheon Decals. Just a bit more rigging, some touch up, the prop, and rear MGs and Mount left to do.

Looking absolutely stunning Rick, the colours you used are brilliant and you did a superb job with the rigging and the decals.

Just superb, Rick! It goes to show that some things are really worth the wait!
The Salmson is an absolute jewel!  Not far to go now, and I am looking forward
to the final unveiling.  Well done, my friend!

Cheers,
Ernie :)
