I have no idea why I missed this until now - very beautiful models, the Salmson is a wonderfully built plane, but me too, I especially love the Pfalz in its Jasta 4 markings. It's absolutely one of my favoured. So I can honestly give your kind words back to you: It makes me wanting to built a Pfalz immediately :)
Thank you for sharing these beauties!

I greatly appreciate your comment. The reason you missed this is it had dropped to page 3 after about a month of being sidelined by my slump  :-[

Hi Rick,

I haven't been around for some time, but I have no words for my admiration for these two magnificent builds. Amazing my friend!

Kind regards
Patrick

I looked at your lovely Pfalz again and again, now it happened: I placed an order at WNW for it... 8)

I am looking forward to what your talent does to the kit! By the way, my second Pfalz arrived a few days ago.

It has been a while since I last posted on this build log. I have been plodding away when time allows. I am almost finished with the initial rigging on the wings. Still have to paint the wires and make Smoke and Mirror turnbuckles  ::) Just a few more wires to attach then photos. Probably tomorrow or the next day. On Vacation from work again  ;D

Hi Rick,

Looking forward to see your rigging my friend. Anyway both your models make it worth while waiting a bit. Your greatest work ever!

Kind regards
Patrick

Here are a few pictures of the completed wing rigging. The Macro Lens has shown a few issues I need to deal with like the finger print in the clear coat on the left fuselage  >:( Next up Smoke and Mirrors Turnbuckles and attachment points. Then fix the exit holes, touch up and move on to applying the rest of the decals.

PS: Also noticed some touch up painting needed on the lines themselves.
PPS: By the way it seems the tail surfaces were in the perfect position to hit my wrist while I was rigging. SO I need to re attach the Horizontal surfaces  :-[

Very nice build. I like the rigging. I think it is quite fiddly to rig it parallel.

Wow!  Rick, the Salmson is really looking good.  Your rigging looks excellent
and the overall look of the model is just beautiful.  Very good progress, my friend!

Cheers,

Thanks for commenting Manni. There were some trying moments during the process with wires not staying glued in place but in the end I won!

Thanks Ernie. Your comments are always appreciated. By the way I am adding a few new photos today. I went back to look at Chris's build to check turnbuckle locations and noticed I had screwed up on the location of one wire on each side and left off one per side. That has been corrected.
