Last small update for a little while:
The fuselage halves are glued together and just lack a little filler due to MY construction. Once again I have placed the upper decking in place for a final test fit and to show what is seen after the basic fuselage and upper decking is together.

A real shame to see that beautiful interior work covered but it's nice to see the fuselage halves together, great progress.

Rick,
When I see outstanding interior details like yours disappearing during construction the old "Phantom Mustang" Kit with the clear plastic shell comes to mind. As Des says above, a real shame when all that detail disappears.. Aviattics' open frame Kit for the D.VII should produce a few stunners that can continue to be viewed, or the 1:16 Scale Camel I saw at a Competition recently appeals as well. I think that D.VII Kit addition may find it`s way to my bench once released! ;)
Cheers,
Lance

Des and Lance,
Thanks to both for the comments. I guess most builds are actually this way in that a lot goes MIA when its all closed up. Lance those framework kits are interesting and in the hands of real masters like yourself and some others would be real showstoppers!

Thanks Ed, and yes the pics are proof that some work was done inside  ;D

I have begun the second kit in the dual build. I have the basic frame work assembled and the cockpit floor and stick are assembled. Pics later this evening.

Thanks for the comment! As for the Pfalz question I am adding the latest update. The Pfalz DIIIa interior is started. Basic work is done just adding details and painting switches left. Then attaching sub assemblies etc.

Well Rick, at least we know what wonderful "innards"
are in the Salmson.  Good to hear that you are thinking of
entering the Pfalz.  With your talents it should be a winner,
my friend. :D

Cheers,
Ernie :)
