Looking Good Rick! Can't wait to see the Pfalz with her painted with the ribbon. On the Salmson,I really like your approach to painting the camouflage. Metal sections first then the fabric. The last French camouflage I painted was done by colors metal and fabric together. Worked ok but lead to many touch ups .The only drying time between the shades for metal and fabric shades was the time it took to flush out my airbrush. Too big of a rush.
Highest Regards,
Gregory Jouette

I am looking forward to seeing the black ribbon applied. This will make (give? show? whatever) a nice contrast to the silvery fuselage.

Rick, I am also looking forward to seeing the ribbon scheme pop out
on the Pfalz...It promises to be a terrific look!  It is nice to see the
start of the Salmson painting.  As Gregory mentioned, I too like the
idea of painting the Metal areas separate from the fabric.
One question...are you using the recommended colours in the booklet,
and if so, which brand?  All in all, a great update, my friend!

Cheers,
Ernie :)

Thanks to all for the feedback and comments! Greatly Appreciated!!! Ernie, Yes I am using the kit call outs for the paint on the Salmson. My brand of choice is the Tamiya Paints.

A shot of the ribbon with no touch up. I will post more later. considering the compound curves and potential for bleed through I am pleased that I only have a few touch ups to do.

Beautiful, as i had expected. Did the stripe end on top of the spine, immediately before the tail (as on your model), or did it extend towards the left elevator?
