It's nice to see another of these under construction. This kit and particular aircraft was my first (and so far only) 1/32 scale build.
Are you aware of the lower planes/fuselage fit problem that must be overcome?

Hi, George, Squiffy, RAGIII, Martin and Des, Thank You all very much for your encouraging comments! It makes posting here an absolute pleasure, and it's real encouragement... Herewith a few updates: I spent some time on the seat with some Tamiya brown undercoat  shades (in Acrylic), then followed that up with oils to give the leather effect: Then I added the seat belts after some weathering... Sorry, but photobucket wouldn't rotate the photo for me, I tried hard enough!

Then I moved on to the cockpit floor. I have been warned that the fit of parts is very tight, and even a coat of paint can upset the fit and cause alighnment problems in later steps... Also the control wires need some help to end up in the right position... so there is no paint on the edges of the floor and the white bar (a piece of plasticard that will be hidden by the seat) is glued in place:

Then I started the fun bit: Control wires for the elevator (from the stick) and for the rudder (from the rudder bar)... due to the shadows these look a bit curved, but are straighter in real life!

It all looks a bit messy now, but I think all the rough bits will end up hidden! I work on the basis that if you cannot see it, it can't hurt! Thats all for now.

Regards,

Marc

Terrific work on the floor board and seat! The leather treatment is outstanding! I am watching your build with interest as the Pup is one of the 3 WNW kits I will have left after my current dual build.

You are moving along very well with this build Marc, the seat and belts turned out brilliant, the control rigging on the control column and rudder bar is extremely well done.

Thank You Des for the encouragement. RAGIII, it is a great kit that just wants to build itself, thanks for commenting! Matin, Thank You for checking in! Przemo, Your interest and support is greatly appreciated! Hi Bo, Wonderful to have you following along!

Well I took a little diversion and worked on the engine: It went together well, but the key for aligning the inlet pipes to the maim crackcase body may need a little trimming so the pipes mate properly to the cylinder heads... no biggie, just needs care. Then I coated it with Hunbrol enamel gunmetal, an oil wash and some old-school Silver Rub 'n Buff for highlighting....

Note I use masking tape on all those pegs and places that assemble into other parts: The engineering tolerances are so fine a layer of paint will interfere!

All The Best,

Marc
