I'm enjoying this. You're getting three faster than I can do one. ;)

Thanks, guys! I appreciate it!

Doing multiple builds makes some jobs easier: fewer times cleaning the airbrush, for example. But other parts are more tedious: rib tape masking and small parts cleanup.  The Eduard Dr. I is beautiful in so many ways but a lot of the small parts have misaligned molding seams, so lots of scraping and sanding.  I'm enjoying making the three in different stages of weathering.

I added the gun blast deflector plates from thin styrene. I embossed the ribs but they're hard to see.  Guns are being test fitted.

The blast plates look terrific! These tripes continue to be more impressive with each update!

Looking great -and I can only echo your comment on doing two together. While more work in applying decals or masking ribs, there are quite a few benefits to doing 2 similar ones at the same time.
I'm thinking about a Fokker DVII quad-build sometime later this year... also will help make a dent in the stash!

Thanks, all.  Much appreciated!

Small update: Rudders and guns are attached with discharge tubes added.  I added some filler where they join the guns.  Wingtip skids and tailskids attached.

This "gaggle" of Fokkers is just getting better and better, Drew! Great paint and decals. Now that there's a photo where the turquoise and upper scheme are visible together I really am impressed by the Mr. Kit Turquoise. Lovely models.
Cheers,.

Three of the nicest 1/48th DR1s I have seen! I really am enjoying watching this one. You are inspiring me to pull the Encore 1/32nd kit out and take a look.

Thanks again, everyone!

Putting the tri in the triplanes. Surprisingly not as nerve-wracking as I thought it would be.  The top wings went into alignment pretty easily.
