Albatros W-4
« on: July 25, 2015, 09:26:07 AM »
Hello everyone, here are pictures of my scratch-built 1/32 W-4. Used the Battle Axe Albatross  D-3 fuselage and threw the of the kit away. Used the Harry Woodman technique to make the wings, then resin cast the struts with wire centers. This is a pre-Taurus engine, so there is a lot of gimmickery. For instance, the intake manifold nuts are model railroad brake shaft ratchets! Used some Eduard photo-etch, lots of Evergreen Styrene, brass, aluminum, and of course, Grandt Line model railroad parts. Thanks for looking.

You have done a superb job with this scratch build Pietro, the overall finish is excellent and the rigging is superb, extremely well done.

Schnaztastic!

That's one to be proud of.  Hard work paid off.  I like the fuselage and your numbering.

Cheers,

Dan

Oh, man, Pietro!  This is awesome!  I don't believe I've ever seen a 1/32 scale W.4 before.  Congratulations.  She's stunning.
Cheers,
Bud
