Good to have you back, Ray.  My condolences on losing your Dad.  Mine went west nearly 30 years ago and I still miss him at times.
Cheers,
Bud

Same here Ray, mine went 33 years ago, it is still a void that is never filled.

My old (actually he was a young bloke by today's standards) Dad left this ball of spinning iron and rock 33 years ago.
I was 15 at the time and stood there at his side when he passed. It took me 10 years to get over it fully, but you never really get over losing your old dad. I still miss him to this day and will do until my time comes to join him.

P.S  My Dad can be seen on the row of pictures below - second one from the left. The first image is of my Grandfather. Both served in the Royal Navy. Grand Pup in WW1 and Dad in WW2 on Submarines - HMS Tuna

Hello Everyone,

Ray should be back at work-sort of-in a few weeks but he is very touched and appreciative of all your kind words of support.

He's asked me to post the new Special  cover in the meantime.

Kind regards,

Angie

Thank you Angie and Ray. The AEG special cover looks great! I'm definitely going to order as soon as it's available, but no hurry. I understand what Ray is going through having lost my father 9 months ago.

Dear Ray

The latest Windsock arrived in the post this morning and what a fine issue it is too. It's great to see many photos from James, but I was so pleased to see the dedication to your father, Bill, and the small picture/remembrance in relation to Cruikshanks too. I found the featured personal appreciation of your dad very moving.

I wish you and Angie well.

Best wishes
Nigel
