Roden Albatros DIII OAW
« on: June 23, 2015, 10:32:17 AM »
Hi guys,
Just finished this one. Am real happy with how it turned out but I feel like I had to fight the model at several points. Not sure why the violet on the wing shows up as blue in the pics but it was actually violet.

She's absolutely gorgeous, Chris!  Makes me want to build a D.III now.
Cheers,
Bud

An absolute beauty! The wood grain and all of the paint work is superb! Well done and thanks for sharing your build!

I am joining the chorus. You have build a very fine model. Nice wood and green-mauve camo. Congratulations!

Thanks for all of the positive comments! I am really glad that everyone likes it. It makes me glad that I persevered and finished this one. I never got angry enough with the model that I wanted to bust it but there were several times when I wanted to box it up and never work on it again, lol.
