WNW Roland D.VIa 3612/18, Hans Jungwirth, Jasta 78b. This was a challenging and ultimately quite satisfying build. I used Aviattic lozenge, Gaspatch machine guns and turnbuckles (along with some pieces from Bob's Buckles), and EZ Line for the rigging. I am calling it finished but will probably add some additional weathering and fuel stains in the next day or two.

Very nicely done - kudos on the completion! I like the scheme choice and the presentation with the figure is tops!

It was a pleasure to watch your build progress! Your results are terrific and the final presentation with the figure really sets the Roland off!

Spectacular results, Kreston! Brilliant vignette. The Pilot and dog are as beautiful as that stunning Roland.
Cheers,
Bud

Very nicely done Kreston, the shade of blue you used is excellent, you did a spectacular job on the Roland and also on the figure and the dog,

A very nice one. That pale blue fuselage is very appealing.

What can I add? That is a really excellent model and the figure and dog just set it off wonderfully.

Beautiful work! I've always liked that scheme, and you've certainly done it justice.
And everything goes better with a dog.

Beautiful job Kreston, the colour and the overall muted tones really set this one off.

Thanks for all of the kind comments.
A word on the turnbuckles. This was my first time using them and found that when I was gluing them in place, I had to use my best guess at the correct angle for the EZ line. They are not easy to reposition...they can be adjusted a little but the metal does not easily bend. The wire on the far port side wing was not tight enough and looked like it was weightless. I have since taken it off and strung a new piece. It looks a lot better.
