Rojas Bazan ultimate scratchbuilt models
« on: June 08, 2015, 07:01:47 PM »
Hi,
I came across some amazing models, but they are mostly WW2 (with one Nieuport 11). They are worth looking at anyway because of the amazing work and craftsmanship. He builds from aluminum and claims to use no power tools. Every last detail is represented!

Here is a link to some videos.
http://www.rojasbazan.com/rojas_bazan/Video_Demos.html
The first video on the page shows an A6M6 Zero which includes every last bit of interior framing, MG, engine, and fully working control surfaces linked to the stick. :o

The video on the F4U Corsair 1/15 model was the highlight for me. Pure genius engineering on the folding wings showing the working flaps mechanism.

There is a brief appearance in the second video of a Nieuport 11 with working engine (it's rotating anyway) and moving control surfaces.

The rest of his site is worth a browse also. :)

I had the privilege to inspect a pair of those models in a collector's collection and they are breathtaking.
Their large scale poses some problem to display them, but if you have enough money to buy one of them, probably you have also a niche to display them....
You can have one of them, but do not expect anything cheap.... You can buy any past and present 1/32 kit for that amount of money, but they are aimed at the serious collector and moreover there is a lot of craftsmanshipin them. Consider that they are a fine art work...

Dear Bo,
Consider that your kits are much more detailed, but smaller and alas....still a WIP
Rojas' ones are more artisanal, but he completes small series and so he can sell his artifacts
