Wn Fokker DVII in Finnish markings (with correction)
« on: June 06, 2015, 10:52:45 PM »
This is my rendition of the OAW Fokker DVIi used by the 1C.357 of Aviation Detachment 2 at Utti airfield, Finland 1920. Decals are from Aviattic and AML. Those WnW kits are always a pleasure to build and this one was no exceptions. With such a sunny day it was difficult to resist an outdoor pic session, so here it is, cheers Jean.

Very nice. And unusual markings - make an overall uninteresting D.VII quite attractive. A fine piece of modelling!

Very fine work, Jean! A real treat to see something different and so well executed. The subtlety of your work is amazing.

Cheers from NYC,
Michael

Stunning build and the photos are great too. Paint scheme is very unique, and as a Finn it's very nice to see model with Finnish markings!  :)

Thanks for the comments!
As it happens, I have received a note from Finland with a pic of this aircraft showing that he had an Albatross type of front radiator, obliging me to do some surgery on the finished model! Well it's done but it is better to know this kind of trick before than after! Best regards, Jean.
