Hi y'all!
Been a while since I last made an update, but you'll understand why.
I've been working on the wood fuselage with oils, panneling, and waiting between each steps that the paint was driy enough to mask the next pannel to be worked on. Took ages, but thank God it was quite sunny here, so the drying time was about two days between each steps.
In the meantime, I found time to work on other parts such as the masts and such, panting them white and then spraying them with some off white paint to give them a dirty look. Some dark paint was then applied to simulate chipping.

Here how I proceeded with the fuselage.
A first layer of acrylic paint of radome and some other one on different panels (useless as you will see, so don't bother...) with a bit of pre shading (pretty useless as well...)

Then the panelling began with burnt sienna paint, apply with various amount of paint depending on the panels...

The panelling is done:

Then, to darken everything, I sprayed many thin layers of transparent "tobacco" acrylic ink.

I'm pretty happy with the result as if it's what I was reaching for.
Next I will be working on the black cowling and metal parts.
ciao
