RFC Crossley 20/25 and Thornycroft J
« on: April 18, 2015, 01:25:14 AM »
I've been hoping for a Crossley for ages, but only just noticed this one. Has anyone here got one yet? I'm not sure about the spokes, but the rest looks quite good I think

They have a set of figures to go with them too.

Yep got a Thorneycroft J, not built it as yet.

I think it has a few issues, wheels and height of the flatbed from taking a quick look at it. Mine was one of the early releases and I believe the flatbed height issue has been addressed in later models. Also the cab tarpaulin looks a bit toy like.

Planning on building it some time this year.

Thanks Peter. I don't mind having to change a few things but these are expensive kits for the size. Still, there's not much competition either...

I just got the Tommy's War RAF Lorry and I will admit to not knowing much about the accurate dimensions. But, the kit itself looks really fine. The castings are all very crisp. I got mine from http://redlancers.com/ and believe the price was competitive.

Wow, this Red Lancers store has a "Deadbeats" page on their website that lists people's names and addresses who have not paid up! I've never seen that before! :o

I'm not sure what I think of that, but I guess it's a good warning to other vendors.
