Ok, tell me what you think.  The color is about where I want it for the wood so I will just put on a semigloss coat when it dries.  That is my first time.  I used dabs of raw and burnt sienna.  I think it would be easier to do this on a much large flat surface.  Also, applied to Aviattic CDL decals to the inside of the fuselage.  I am not sure if I want to keep this or paint it a light tan.

The wood looks terrific. I like the Aviattic CDL, the weave is evident as opposed to just painting tan. Just my opinion.

Thanks everyone for the nice comments.  I will be keeping the CDL decals on the interior.  You can see them when the kit is finished so it won't go to waste.  I will however use a color similar to do the rear of the interior as it will be almost impossible to see anyway.  I will also be using some oils on some of the scraps of decals to make the ribs of the interior.  That will be much easier than trying to paint them directly and not to mention safer so I don't tear the decals.  More painting tomorrow.  Maybe, just maybe, I can get the majority of it done before I go on my trip to DC and Delaware next week.  BTW, the engine was painted in a slightly unusual manner.  I shot some aluminum on the other parts that needed them, but left a little bit in the airbrush.  I then put gunmetal in the cup and thinned it a little more than usual.  This allows for the more metallic effect than the mostly dark Tamiya paint.  Also, this allowed me to cover most of the engine in the aluminum mix until it was almost all gunmetal which was then just lightly sprayed around the back and cylinders.  Once the paint was dried I used thinned steel and copper to pick out the details.  The rods, heads, and center cover.  Gives them a nice pop in person which will help when I put the wash on tomorrow.

Your build is coming along very nicely.  I like both the wood, and the CDL.

Well done!

Nic,
The Aviattic CDL is a great choice and that engine very well done. Looking very nice all over, a winner in the making!
Cheers,
