German Naval E.1 Eindeckers
« on: April 04, 2015, 12:10:57 AM »
Hi:

Good morning. Saw this post on the Wingnut Wings Facebook page and thought what a neat looking plane. Here are some of the photos that were posted. It was supposedly flown by Papa Reuschke. Does anyone have any more info on this plane and markings?

Thanx,
Carl

fredjocko,

Sorry for not getting back to you I'm not really an active member here more of a lurker and stumbled upon this post by accident, this build is mine and after doing some research on it and talking to Richard at Wingnut Wings I came across a little info on her, sadly there is very, very little information on this unique aircraft and only one photo of her in this unique scheme.

The Aircraft was LF70 32/15 and a Marine-Fliegerabteilung prototype, probably used for testing different camouflage patterns and effects as well as wing configurations.

In this scheme the aircraft is testing of "Trompe l'oeil" patterns, there are also pictures of LF70 32/15 in the beige finish.

The LF70 32/15 had some differences to the E.I most significant of which are longer 10.05m wingspan in comparison to the Early 8.95m (29.36ft)  and extended fuselage side cowlings (as far back as the cockpit opening).

Sadly the aircraft was lost in a crash, which is shown in the archived photos on the Wingnut Wings website here:
