This set covers the SPAD XVI which was piloted by Billy Mitchell during the last months of the war. The is airplane is housed at the Udvar-Hazy center.

Great stuff, as ever Russell. Just a quick question. Do you think the high gloss camouflage finish to the cowling etc was used at the time or a function of museum preservation?
