SPAD XIII walk around
« on: March 20, 2015, 02:53:01 AM »
Here is a small cross section of some of the research photos that I took of Raymond Brooks' SPAD XIII "Smith IV" at the National Air and Space Museum a couple of days ago. Special thanks to the curatorial staff at the NASM for allowing me access. Hopefully these images can be useful for some of you modellers and historians.

I was granted access to several other aircraft as well. I'll post walk around photos of those in the coming days as well.

Thank you for sharing these with us, Russell!  As Terri said, they're awesome.  Some details I've never noticed before.  These will be a tremendous help.
Cheers,
Bud

Very nice reference Russell. You rarely see photos of the interior of the fuselage towards the tail section. You must have some good connections with the museum through your paintings to allow you this access.
