hello!
I went on a little bit.

I put the seat base and I will quicly start painting the wooden parts...
I did the same thing in the models but much more simplified (at the end, we will see nothing)

here is the frame with the seat:

I'm happpy because I founded a correct figurine to represent Donald Bremner !
The  David et Rick grand dad was tall :
"the control column is in brass, and has an aluminium base which isn't like the one on the drawing. And Granddad extended it by about 75mm because he was 6ft 3in tall, and it was a very tight fight in the cockpit. In fact, of course, if you are being completely accurate, you should remove the cushion from the seat, since he had to take that out to get his knees under the instrument panel."

6 feet 3 inches, more than1,90m!
look at the picture:

I bought that figurine but didn't use it because it was oversized. It represent a 1,92m man, it will be perfect!

Donald told himself in his memories in crosses and cockades vol 5 n°4, talking about the french who were in thassos with the 2wing:

They chief pilot was a man called Constantini, who was a very famous racing motor driver and always used to call me "le grand pilote du petit bristol"

Thanks to all!
talking abouit the compass which was between the pilot foots, I had the side plan as only reference, so I imagined that, a cone

I asked David about information for the compass. He send me that draw which shows me I was absolutly wrong....

Iwill have to do it again...

Meanwhile , you remember the fuselage was too short according to the plan:

well, man at work:

when I finished and compare the two half fuselage, I saw their were not iqual...

I added some plastic card and now yes the model have the right size...

I will have to finish the work with surfacer, but I will wait for jointing the two half fuselage...
