. I wish I could leather like that seat. Thanks for the paper tip also, will have to see where I can source that from.
James

Hi James,
Any good tobacconist will carry the papers you need.

You can do leather like me!
I used Vallejo Leather as a base coat. A couple of layers of Citadel sepia washes, followed by dry brushing (dry - as in DRY!) a couple of flesh tones. Two more washes, highlight the buttons and polish back those washes with a Qtip/cotton bud ...Job done! See, it's not that hard, James! Give it a go  ;)

Okee dokee. I'll try the drugstore. And as my J.1 is pretty well done and my Aviattic lozenge arrived yesterday I have pulled out a Pfalz IIIa. So this weekend try to make a seat like yours :)

Hello Bob,

That seat cushion is amazing.  It must be obvious to others but how did you accomplish that? Is it an AM part or did you fabricate it? If so can you share that info? I would love to know.

Thanks,
Greg

Hi Greg & Toby
Thanks for the nice comments  ;)

Greg,
The cushion came from my 'bits' box and is made of resin, but not by my hand.

Not to insult your intelligence, but here is a weeeeeee update and any update from me is a blessing, so there!

I could of gone with a replacement brass hub - couldn't be assed! I took the simple route of drilling plastic hub, drilling small hole through wall of said drilled plastic hub, installed cotter pin from thin plastic rod, touch of Tamiya extra thin evil and Bob's your Father's brother.
At this rate I should be finished my Christmas! Christmas 2030!!

Looking good! :) I know what you mean about tiny updates... I've just painted my models with white and am quite happy how that came out. Just not much to show for picture wise...! :)
