   Paddy,
I've not tried a Fiddlersgreen kit as of yet,but I hear from card modeller friend they're pretty good kits. An Avro Triplane would be an excellent addition to the collection. Thanks for sharing the link my old friend.
Highest Regards,

Your welcome Gregory.

Those Fiddlesgreen folks do some interesting work along with their research and I agree that they are tempting. I do have one of the Bowlus Baby Albatross sailplane printed but have not attempted to proceed with it. The graphics are outstanding. I don't have a printer that will handle the recommended weight of paper so took my file to an Office Depot and had them print it on guality heavy stock.

I'm currently building an Avro bi plane "D" from an old Pyro 1/48 plastic  kit  that I found on e-Bay
The older Avros are indeed  interesting aircraft. :)

I discovered that there is very  scarce documention on these aircraft (tri and bi) and some guesswork/artistic license is in order as no two of a given version are repotedly to be exactly the same

One question I can't seem to find the  answer for  is how  the exhaust is exited  from the Green engines. Every pic of the Green engines  I've found are all from the starboard side (where the intake and water jacket manifolds are located ) and I can never see any sort of exaust maifold, etc .

Yes, it does help.....thanks.  :)

That appears to be a Green  35 HP version which is correct for the Avro "D" However, the  kit supplies a fairly  well detailed  60 HP Green which is very simular in appearance  except, mainly  for different intake maifold shapes. It's  close enough I  guess.
Anyway, I have to assume that both have simular exhausts.

  Joe,
Always glad to help out a fellow modeler my friend. Please feel free to post your Avro "D" in this section. I'd love to see some in progress photos of her build.

BTW, Can I assume that those two  "L" shaped pipes  in the crankcass (on the exhaust side)  are just  air vents?

  Joe,
I don't know how safe it is to assume my friend. But they do look like crankcase air vents to me too.
