Albatros D.Va "Stropp" 1/32 WNW
« on: February 25, 2015, 07:44:36 PM »
Hello everyone!!!

So I decided to post my first contribution to this forum(mainly because I found some pictures from build)... It is my first WNW build and It was first one I got from my girlfriend back in 2013... I built most of it in first four months of 2014 and all it's missing is rigging on its right wing and undercarriage :) Unfortunately I'm not so sure when It will be finished as I have no idea where will be my next work bench... and lets face it, posting that almost build Albatros to another country isn't exactly what I want to do... Still, I've learnt a lot on this build...wood decals, oil paints, nail set from HGW, HGW seatbelts, taurus resin parts, new painting techniques but mainly - my first 1/32 ever build!!! It is very addictive!!! :)

It drove me crazy just watching and writing, so posting(apart from buying) will help me in meantime before I get to put my hands on next kit :)

Here are some pictures... I will post more when I get "home"(hard drive that's at my dad's place) :)

this is all before it started

wood and all else :)

seat

fuel tank

magazines??

cockpit

It is my first go with picture and things like that so I hope It will all be well... next time I'm building this there will be a loads of things done differently ;) but still, that's the beauty of this hobby

Thanks for watching, more picture on the way...

Cheerio
Lukas

p.s.oh and sorry for pictures but year ago I had no idea how to do photography... I got some since then so next build will be different - promise!!!

Thanks Lukas for posting the photos of your build, what you have shown so far is excellent, very nice wood tones and the cockpit looks very good. You have nothing to worry about with your photography, the photos look fine to me. Looking forward to seeing more pictures of this build.

Very nice work, Lukasz. You are right in that this is very much a learning process and the forum is the ideal place for that.

Best wishes
Nigel

Brilliant start, Lukas!  That fuel tank is superb as are the other elements.  Can't wait to see the rest.
Cheers,
Bud

Great start, Lukas.  I really like the woodwork and the
treatment on the magazines.  Very well done!  I look
forward to seeing your next updates. I am partial to
the Stropp scheme and am happy to see it being done. :D

Cheers,
Ernie :)

Impressive amount of details you added to the fuel tank.
I really like your wooden tones - they look very convincing.
