Des, many thanks for sharing the progress and for showing me new horizons of what is feasible in scratch builds.

This is just brilliant!

Many thanks to Ondra, Ken and Bob for your nice comments, and you are spot on with your description of this "aeroplane" Bob, it is certainly a contraption.

Thank you Martin for your kind words.

I made the two radiators and fitted them to the airframe, they are a very basic radiator with wavy mesh. I also fitted the prop shaft and mounting brackets along with the sprocket, the propeller displayed here is for size purposes only, it is not the propeller that will be used. The last photo shows the roller chain under construction, it will eventually mesh with a sprocket on the engine with a 2:1 drive to the propeller.

Des.

This is the bike chain set I am using for the roller chain, it is from Model Factory Hiro and is set No. P-941. It is a reasonably easy set to assemble and is quite strong once together, the small pins need to be melted and I found the ideal temperature to do this was 187ºC which is not too hot that it melts the pins off. There are enough parts to make three full lengths the same as the one on the sprocket.

More super work from the Master. The chain and radiators look really good - how did these things ever get off the ground?
