Hi Cajun,
There are not many 1/72 sheets available with Lafayette markings.  The best one, but quite rare nowadays are the special sheets from Americal Gryphon.  Sheet #65 Lafayette Escadrille Nieuports and Spads.  This sheet first came out in 1991 and is crude by today's standards but includes markings for all most all of the aircraft used by the Escadrille!
Microscale had a sheet of 1/72 scale American Squadron insignia that had a set of the Sioux indianheads used on the Lafayette Spads and 103rd Aero.
Pheon was talking about issuing their Lafayette SPAD sheet in 1/72 if there was enough demand but I think it was only issued in 1/48 and 1/32.

Cajun,
Dave pretty much nailed it. There are some decals in the "Flyboys" boxing of Eduard's Nie.17 that might be useable, the key words being "might be".  I'd have to look at them again to see if they are Sioux or Seminole Indian heads to be sure though.  Did you have any particular a/c in mind to reproduce, or just thinking of the LE in general?
I do wish the Rowan had been able to do that LE sheet in 1/72nd, but as Dave said, there was not enough interest. The economics of it just aren't there. Could say more, but I'll leave it at that.

Good call Warren, I forgot about the Eduard Flyboys Nieuport 17 kit.  It does indeed have the Seminole Indian head which is correct for the Aluminum doped Nieuport 17's.  Of course the personal markings are not authentic as they match the Hollywood aircraft, but most of the personal markings on the N.17's were just black or red geometric patterns or letters. The Nieuport 11/16's are a little more difficult, I have done a few custom sheets of early Nieuport markings to complete my 1/48 scale collection but most of these are just serial numbers and wing stencils.

Yeah Dave, if Cajun is wanting to model some of the Nie.11's or 16's that's going to be more difficult.

I wonder how many of us it would take to get someone to do up a custom sheet of 1/72nd markings and a "number jungle" for the rudders, etc.
