They are dropping like flies, that makes number 8, wonder what and when the next one will be.

Well, HLJ is now sold out, but Hannant's still has 6 on hand at $101.66 a pop.  Plus shipping.
Cheers,

This is getting scary, are they starting to wind down?!? I just this week ordered a Pfalz DIIIa in a fit of panic, thought of a DVIIF and then figured "lots of time"., now I'm not so sure!

Lance

Well, I guess I will have to think about building some of the Roden, Encore, Hobbycraft, and Special Hobbies kits in the stash  :-X
Seriously can the DVIIF be far behind now considering that the Panic buying has already started  8) I made a decision to spend my birthday cash on Aviattic Fabric decals and some parts for the Gloster Meteor. Perhaps I should have gone for the WNW SE  :(

Seriously? I doubt it very much.

They gave us almost exactly 1 years notice which kits would sell out next... I know what I'm ordering ;)

Hmmm... I missed that "notice". Can you elaborate? There are a couple of kits I seriously need and my wife hates it when I break down and cry over a box of styrene..

Quite possibly a Fokker DVII (Alb) or the Gotha, I'm thinking...

Ahhhhh! The panic has infected me too. I just pulled the trigger on a WnW Pfalz D.IIIa. I have no intention of building it any time soon, but I really like it and I'm afraid it would be gone by the time I'm ready for it. I'm embarrassed to admit that that was the fourth kit purchased in as many weeks, and I'm a very slow builder.

My stash continues to grow...

I don't think the accelerating sell outs of WNW kits in any way suggests they are winding down, it simply reflects that models that have been on the market for some years are selling out now, as we would expect them to do. The Fokker D.VII (OAW) has been available since November 2012 as was the D.VII (Fok). The kits have obviously sold well but we don't know the production run as this is a State secret to WnW.

While some have ventured some near- criticisism of those who assemble model kit stashes, the reality is those of us who bought the Fokker D.VIIs when they were released, or Albatros D.V, Sopwith Triplane, Hansa W.29 or RE.8 or LVG etc etc, can take some comfort in knowing the kits are there waiting for us and we won't be held to ransom by "collector" prices when we get round to making them.

To me, stash hoarders are modellers who actively make models but also squirrel other kits away in case they become impossible to get. I am a builder and genuinely intend to build everything in the stash.

Kit collectors generally seem to assemble huge collections per se but don't seem to actually make a model. Just one person's view.
