Thanks to all who have followed and supported my build! I am ashamed to admit that this one is now OFFICIALLY a Hall of Shame Model! I will stand by all of my statements about the fine quality of this kit! Any and all issues I have had were my own. From breaking resin parts, losing key PE parts, and finally the wing struts. I was getting ready to begin rigging and noticed that not only were the cabanes loose but I had blobs of glue that were really bad at all strut locations. I tried fixing but reached a point where removing the wing was necessary. I will go back someday perhaps, and use the white metal struts I have for the kit. Again thanks to all!

Sorry to hear that Rick, I guess that this is a problem we all dealt with before... but lets be positive - what will be next? ;)

Next is a Dual WNW build. The Salmson 2A2(also the Aviattic USAS figures), and either a WNW Pfalz DIIIa ( Jasta 4 markings)or a WNW SE5a to be done in A.P.F. Rhys Davids markings  ::)

PS: Also playing with a Revelle 1/28th Camel out of Box for my Grandsons room  :D

Discretion is the better part  of Valor--we all these lurking somewhere--onward my friend !

Your Grandson will love the Camel  (shorten the cabane struts to get the top wing flat)

"or a WNW SE5a to be done in A.P.F. Rhys Davids markings"
Rick,
I recently purchased a second WNW "Hisso 5a" and it's destined to be done as yours, APF Rhys Davids' airframe. If that's your next project I'll be following it closely.
Sorry to hear you've shelved the Encore project, It was coming along very nicely.
Cheers,
Lance

  Rick,
It's sad news indeed about your SE-5a my old friend. I believe that most if not all of us have had a project underway that just appears to be snake bitten. Sometime in the future I hope you can revisit this project again and everything works out for you.
Highest Regards,
Gregory Jouette

Sorry to hear that the SE5 didn't pan out, Rick.  As Scott mentioned
we have all been in that position.  I am looking forward to your
next project, my friend.

Cheers,
Ernie :)

Sorry this one gave you such fits, amigo!  I thought you were doing a brilliant job, but only you could know what a struggle it's been.  I'm looking forward to your next project.
Cheers,
Bud
