Thank You for posting and sharing the Pictures.. I have a Gotha that i am wanting to build (but will wait until i am comfortable with building WW I Models) and Your Photos are inspirational to me most certainly, Thank You!!!!

Hi Dean Thankyou this is my second WW1 model a WNW Albatross DVa being my first build and to be perfectly honest I've only every built perhaps a handfull of WW2 aircraft models in my 30 odd years modeling so don't be scared to make a start on it !
The kit is very builder friendly and everything goes together without any fuss. Up until I was ready to fit the upper wings and struts I was really sweating over the whole process but studying the Instructions and taking my time proved no problems what so ever. Rigging might be another story but I'm going to follow Des advise from his website on materials and process and I'm sure all will go well.

Thank you Sean for the encouragement!  I am impressed with this being your 2nd WW I Aeroplane! I am working on the Eduard Weekend Fokker Eindecker currently.... taking my time and not rushing anything... Maybe after the Eindecker I will decided to venture into the Gotha, i figure i can always just put it back in the box if it starts to concern me about how well i am doing... ::)

Thanks again and keep up the great Work on the Gotha (my favorite, No.#1 WW I Aeroplane) !!

Hi all Some more progress made this weekend. I've managed to rig the fuselage and tail surfaces. This is a first time effert using this process for rigging and I'm more tham happy with the way it's turning out so far although I probably could have used a slightly thicker Diameter line your thoughts? also many thanks to Des website and constant Emails to Des for advise!

Good work there, I'm tempted to make an Austrian one with Hiero engines. In 1:72 though, not 1:48.
