Excellent start to the rigging, Sean.  As Des said, it looks to scale.
Cheers,
Bud

DEAN Looking forward to seeing you make a start mate! I'm finding the rigging easy going Just taking my time! Managed to get all the rigging within the parameter of the inner engine nacelles completed tonight , I'll update with more pics tommorrow.

PAUL Thanks for the compliment mate ! Coming from you I'm chuffed! I'm going to bring it to the Adelaide Comp this year...won't do any good with it with the likes of builders like yourself but what the heck it'll look impressive on the table all the same!

I'm working towards getting the thing completed for the NSW Scale Model Comp held at Woolongong next W/end.

Chris in answer to your question I was following a WNW Gotha G.IV build over on Amourama some time back where he got to the point in his build where he begun rigging his model. He was explaining then that it's best to rig the wings if not using an elastic type line like Ez line while the model isn't resting on it's wings or upside down as it will effect the rigging taughtness!
I will find the Build thread and post a link here for all to read.

I think I'd find that very challenging as up to now, I've always rested the model's wings on a couple of sponges while doing the rigging just so I can flip it back and forth to ease the task a bit. I always use monofilament, so that should be okay, but the thoughts of trying to rig a model with such a long wingspan when she's standing on her legs gives me the willies. It calls for considerably more dexterity than I have.

Cheers,

Chris

Wow! She`s a beauty! I like wings shading. It`s going to be a real beast... a leviathan or Moby Dick of your world in scale. Congrats captain Ahab;)I`m looking forward to see some more.
