LFG Roland D.VIa (1/32, Wingnut Wings)
« on: January 18, 2015, 07:08:27 AM »
Completed after five weeks of intensive but absolutely pleasant build - my vision of Kissenberth's Roland D.VIa from the time he was the leader of Jasta 23b.

The kit was enhanced by Taurus Models bits for the engine, some scratch details in the cockpit and the engine and, last by not least - Aviattic losenge decals, generously gifted by Richard - many thanks for this!

Everything about this model is spectacular, the painting and decal application, the superb rigging, the beautifully detailed engine and cockpit, this is an overall brilliant looking model, well done Przemol.

That is a BRILLIANT piece of modeling from the Nose to the tail! Just stunning detailing and painting. The Lozenge is perfect and the rigging superb! Lovely!!

Prez -

Another top model from you - great work!

What material do you use for rigging lines?

I thank you, everybody for your very kind comments and such a welcome to my Roland.

Epeeman, I use 0.12 fishing line, S-Force Trabucco, very dark blue. In fact, the more I look at my rigging, the more I think of painting this line with some sort of steel colour,
