WNW RNAS Sopwith Pup
« on: January 16, 2015, 08:16:43 AM »
All,

Completed this evening -

I build pretty fast (six week build for this one) so apologies if I am becoming a bore, but .........

My take (presented 'factory fresh') on Wingnut's Sopwith Pup RNAS version built OOB.  With the exception of a tight lower wing fit, a really good kit that builds into an attractive model.

I'm going to take a short break from WW1 aircraft as I have a large scale Spitfire kit I won in a raffle at my local model club before Christmas that I want to tackle next.

Regards

Dave

A very attractive model Dave, the painting and rigging is excellent. Good luck with your Spitfire build.

She's absolutely gorgeous, Dave!  I know I'm beginning to sound like a broken record, but your brush painting is pure magic.  Smoother than a baby's bum.
Cheers,
Bud

And this makes it three. That really is a first class model and as has been said the finish is excellent. Having seen your Albatross I know that the camera is not deceiving - the finish really is as good as it looks. The cowling in particular is truly amazing. Hope you will bring it with you tomorrow.

A nice one, Dave! Those red-nosed RNAS Pups are very appealing, aren't they?

Beautiful work, Dave! The Pup is such a great little
aeroplane and you have certainly done it justice.  I
still have a time trying to figure how you can do such
an amazing job of the paint...with a brush. Wow!
Congratulations on a wonderful model, my friend. :)

Cheers,
Ernie :)

Terri - thank you!

Ernie - thanks, mate - the one difficulty brush painting is that I have to rib shade in another way and is difficult to match the airbrush pre-shading method .......... So I'm pleased you like my painting.

Dave
