Jorg,
Magnificent! I am presently building this one, and your photos have given me several points to add already, along with verifying a rigging detail for me. Your finish is amazing, and I'll be checking back to this often. Thanks for sharing this, and my compliments on a very beautiful model.
Cheers,
Lance

Brilliant work! Your rib shading is particularly Eye catching! Not overdone on the shading but noticeable. The rigging and added details are superb! Finally the base and Figure really add to the feel of the Aircraft!

Absolutely stunning, Jorg!  As Rick said, your shading is perfect.  And that pilot figure is extraordinary.  Outstanding work all 'round.

Bud

Marvelous DH2, Jörg! The paintwork, weathering and especially
the rigging are absolutely surpurb and will make a wonderful
building aid.  The setting with the pilot figure fits beautifully.
Thanks for sharing!

Cheers,
Ernie :)

Excellent work -

Your rotary engine painting was particularly impressive to me - the heat staining to the cylinders look extremely realistic.

Yes, outstanding build on an iconic aircraft. Details, details... Can you discuss the engine more? Is it a detailed kit version or a Taurus resin engine? It is particularly well represented in detail and through your depiction of heat and oil effects.

And, I would like to know more about the figure you included in the display. What is it and where might it be available?

I think your wing treatment is very well done and gives the impression of being translucent with the roundel showing through. I will have to attempt this.

Thanks!

Thank you for the compliments, Eindecker! It's the WNW engine (at that time the Taurus Gnome was not on the market), I replaced the pushrods with steelwire and added some ignitionwire, airbrushed with Alclad (steel, hot violet). The RFC pilot is from kellerkind-miniaturen.com (Martin Hille, Berlin/Germany, about 15€).

Cheers,
Jörg

A very stunning model Jorg, the finish on this model is impeccable with superb wing shadows and excellent rigging, the engine is a model in its own right, the addition of the brilliant figure completes this wonderful scene.

Hi Jörg,

beautiful pictures of your model that I had seen in Heiden, Germany 2014. Extraordinary work on the pilot, the engine and the wings, especially your shadowing is top notch. I am really glad to meet you here at the forum and I am looking forward to see you in Heiden this year!

Hello Jörg,

Super finish! Is the background a specific photography product or something home made?
