There have been about 30 movies ect made about Grigory Rasputin and there are more in the works
A Russian one Grigory R which is in filming
A US one staring Leonardo DiCaprio is supposedly in the works
A FX minseries is also supposedly in the works

I hope this is of some use or interest.

Hi James.
Great list and some I would not have thought of like Dr Zhivago, Shout at the Devil and the African Queen. Without going thru all of these I assume they were made during or after the Great War but I have a rather random one for you 'The Airship Destroyer'. This was a Science Fiction film made in 1909 about devestating Zeppelin raids on England. Amazing to think the film would be a for runner of what actually happened!

Hi James.

Quite a collection! Reading through your list reminded me of a WWI silent movie I saw many years ago when I was about 13.
Lilac Time, staring a very young Gary Cooper as a young scout pilot. I don't recall the actress who played the heroine, Claire Bloom perhaps?
But it was great fun to watch with lots of flying action. Have you seen it? It would fit very well in your collection.

James,
Way back in the day (1986?) BBC released a miniseries "The Monocled Mutineer" - I saw it when I was a young pup. Apparently caused such a furore the Beeb never showed it again. I did manage to get a DVD - well worth a look if you can find a copy.

I didn't see "Men with Wings" in your list, it was quite a good movie.

The BBC also had a series, over two periods, called Wings.  This was about the wartime experiences of a young pilot from a rural background.

I vaguely recall it being on TV in the 70s, but now have the DVD box set and am about 2/3rds through.

BIGGLES
Thats another one. I think this was made in the 1980's but it involved a bit of time travelling from WWI to the then present day though mostly set in WWI

It entertained me at the time though I would probably find it painfull to watch now.

In the works:
The harlem Hellfighters

parts on youtube
We are from Kronstadt (Soviet 1930s)

On you tube there is the Great War Channel a week by week history of WWI. I can say its partly informative, partly funny and seriously in need of some better historical research. There are a number of film clips of WW I aircraft.
