Got one of these but in 1/48, itching to get started but too much on at the moment.

Roy, it's the Tamiya color called for in the WNW instruction book. If you need the exact number I will post it later.

Tamiya paint is getting thin on the ground, i'm trying to match up for like colours in both Vallejo and Mr hobby.

Even though it is distinctly green, to me, the color is Tamiya XF-22, Grey-Matt. The corresponding colors from the manual are Humbrol 92 and Fed. Std. 24159. You can find matches in other paint brands on many websites (none of which I have handy at the moment).
